Russlynn Ali, assistant secretary for the Office for Civil Rights, will address the Fourth Annual Delaware Valley Minority Student Achievement Consortium-College Board District Leadership Symposium Thursday at the Hilton Philadelphia City Avenue Hotel in Philadelphia. The event serves as a forum for school district leaders in a 100-mile radius of Philadelphia to learn about promising leadership and organizational practices for addressing pervasive achievement gaps defined by race/ethnicity and economics. Ali will express her support and encouragement for efforts to tackle the achievement gap and promote equity in education opportunities for all students.
