U.S. Assistant Secretary for Education Dr. Alexa Posny will provide keynote remarks at the Delaware Statewide Inclusion Conference Tuesday, March 15 in Dover, Del. Posny will discuss the Department’s proposed Elementary and Secondary Education Act reauthorization plan and how it impacts children and youth with disabilities. She will also explain how the plan aligns with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and how alignment of these two pieces of legislation can translate to greater outcomes for students with disabilities.
The Inclusion Conference is designed to address the needs of educators, parents, policymakers, service providers and childcare providers involved with or interested in promoting inclusion for all students, from birth to 21. The conference is sponsored by The Delaware Assistive Technology Initiative, which connects Delawareans who have disabilities with the tools they need in order to learn, work, play and participate in community life safely and independently.
