Eduardo Ochoa, assistant secretary for postsecondary education, will participate in a discussion on higher education at the 2012 Colorado Capital Conference on Thursday, June 7 at the Hart Senate Office Building in Washington, D.C. Ochoa will join U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet, Tim Foster, president of Colorado Mesa University, and Bruce Benson, president of the University of Colorado for a discussion titled "Three Things I Would Change About Higher Education."
The 2012 Colorado Capital Conference, sponsored by U.S. Sen. Mark Udall, Colorado Mesa University and the University of Colorado, enables Colorado residents to interact with the nation’s leaders in Washington, D.C., and provides participants with key insights into how the U.S. government works. The conference is designed to give participants an enhanced understanding of the federal legislative process, as well as how to positively affect public policy. Participants include 100 Coloradans selected through an application process to represent a diverse cross-section of the state.
