Assistant Secretary to Deliver Remarks at the 2010 National Center for Education Research and Technology

U.S. Department of Education Assistant Secretary Thelma Meléndez de Santa Ana will deliver remarks at the 2010 National Center for Education Research and Technology (NCERT) Conference on Friday, Oct. 1, in Marina del Rey, Calif. Meléndez de Santa Ana will provide an update on the Department's "Blueprint for Reform: Reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA)" and the Department's commitment to advancing the President's national goal of leading the world in college completion by 2020.
The National Center for Education Research and Technology is comprised of school district superintendents from throughout the country. Its goal is to link top performing superintendents with leading business practitioners in order to design systems to promote educational management and leadership practices that result in student learning.
