U.S. Department of Education Assistant Secretary Thelma Meléndez de Santa Ana will deliver keynote remarks at the Association of Latino Superintendents and Administrators National Hispanic Education Summit Friday, Oct. 15 in Reston, Va. Dr. Melendez de Santa Ana will discuss the Obama Administration's strategies to increase Latino students' access to a quality education, and stress the importance of education attainment in order to keep the U.S. competitive in the global marketplace.
