Dr. Brenda Dann-Messier, assistant secretary for the Office of Vocational and Adult Education, will participate in a panel discussion Tuesday in New York, focusing on workforce development programs that help immigrants and refugees acquire English and the skills they need to support themselves and their families.
The panel, entitled, “Jobs, Jobs, Jobs!” is part of the 2010 Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees national conference being held today through Wednesday at Le Parker Meridien Hotel, 119 W. 56th St., in New York.
