Assistant Secretary Dann-Messier to Participate in Launch of Learn2Earn – Fresno's New Adult Education Program

Assistant Secretary Brenda Dann-Messier, who heads the Office of Vocational and Adult Education, will deliver remarks at the launch of Learn2Earn, Fresno's new program to help promote adult literacy, Monday in Fresno, Calif.
Dann-Messier will join Fresno Mayor Ashley Swearengin in announcing details about the effort, which is a partnership among numerous local organizations such as the Fresno Housing Authority, both public and private educational institutions, and Mayor Swearengin. As assistant secretary, Dann-Messier leads the Education Department's efforts in adult, career and technical education, as well as community colleges and correctional education.
