Assistant Secretary Brenda Dann-Messier will address the Health Literacy Summit hosted by the Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island Friday in Providence. Dann-Messier, who oversees the Office of Vocational and Adult Education, will recognize a local program known as ESCUCHE, Evaluating the Spanish radio Community's Understanding of Clinical research and Health. ESCUCHE uses Spanish language radio to convey the importance of science and health literacy.
