Assistant Secretary Brenda Dann-Messier to Give Keynote Remarks at Association for Career and Technical Education National Policy Seminar

Assistant Secretary for Vocational and Adult Education Brenda Dann-Messier will keynote the closing session of the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) National Policy Seminar on Wednesday, March 6, in Arlington, Va. Dann-Messier will focus on the joint commitment and work of the U.S. Departments of Education, Health and Human Services, and Labor, related to career pathways.

The ACTE seeks to enhance the job performance and satisfaction of its members, increase public awareness and appreciation for career and technical programs, and to assure growth in local, state and federal funding for these programs by communicating and working with legislators and government leaders.

As assistant secretary, Dann-Messier administers the Education Department's programs on adult, career and technical education, as well as community colleges and correctional education.
