Assistant Deputy Secretary to Keynote National Prevention Network Annual Research Conference

DENVER—Kevin Jennings, assistant deputy secretary of the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools, will discuss the link between substance use and academic achievement, and detail the Department's efforts to address this problem at the National Prevention Network 23rd Annual Research Conference in Denver. The keynote address will take place at noon Friday, Sept. 3, at the Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center.
The National Prevention Network is committed to the professional development of the prevention workforce. The organization serves as a conduit for partnerships with diverse stakeholders. The National Prevention Network Prevention Research Conference, which got underway Aug. 31 and runs through Sept. 3, provides a forum to explore the latest cutting-edge prevention research, application and practice to empower and promote positive outcomes in communities and state and federal environments.
