Explanation of Log of Resources Obtained
Purpose
- To document the contributions of goods and funds involved in carrying out a comprehensive strategy
This form:
- Charts the contributions of resources to let a partnership know the true costs of a comprehensive strategy. Answers the question, "What does our strategy really take?"
- Documents particular resources that can be interim outcomes on the way to achieving the partnership's goals of improved results for children and families (e.g., getting a donation of furniture in order to open a family resource center). Answers the question, "What have we achieved so far?"
- Tracks the contributions of specific partners, which improves accountability for interim results and enables the partnership to give credit where credit is due. Answers the question, "What is everyone's part in the strategy?"
- Records contributions that show a sign that the strategy is attracting support; publicizing support can generate more support. Answers the question, "What do we have to crow about?"
Who completes the log?
- One or more designated participants in the comprehensive strategy, especially the coordinator.
Who reflects on results?
- The entire partnership and community members.
How often is the log submitted?
- Regularly (e.g., monthly) to a designated compiler of the ongoing log of activities and resources.
