61 One-time Grants for Reading Partnerships

On September 15, 1998, over $3 million was awarded to sixty-one partnerships from across the country to continue their efforts helping children learn to read. The U.S. Department of Education's Regional Educational Laboratories have provided $50,000 to each partnership. Partnerships that were selected for this one-time award were chosen based on their ability to provide quality tutor training programs using a university-school-community collaborative model. We encourage you to contact reading partnerships in your area to see how you may collaborate and/or participate in their activities.
