Of 25 community service Federal Work-Study students at Providence College, six are engaged in the America Reads Initiative. These students tutor preschool through elementary school students both in school and in community centers, during school hours and in after-school programs. As a former Learn and Serve America grantee, this project is a part of the College's ongoing development of service learning programs and college-community partnerships, particularly with K-12 schools.
