During the last two years I started one of the first computer programming classes in the US (1979). During my teaching career, I had to work other jobs to support my family. During this time I started a computer company which eventually took all of my time. I left teaching for the computer company that I started. After 18 years of computer systems, software development, I got out of the business. For 2 years I did nothing. An opening at Brentwood High School caught my attention, I applied and was hired to teach technology at the high school. I have been teaching technology for the past year, and have come to conclusion that there is a lot missing in application software and curriculum development. I feel with my educational and professional experience there should be a great opportunity to aid in the developing of the curriculum and software.
