I teach a group of children about environmental issues and how important it is for them to become involved. We recently won a nation environmental award through Busch Gardens. I think the children could get a much better picture of what youth leaders could accommplish if they could connect with a federal environmental agency. As youth leaders they can contribute a great deal to help preserve the environment. Also, they are setting a wonderful example for other children. Unfortunately, we lack some of the advanced technology that could further their research. These children are currently protecting scrub habitat found on the school property. They have set out to raise money to purchase all scrub property around the school. It is a pleasure to work with such a wonderful group of children.
