USD247 is a small district with nearly 75% of our students qualifing for free or reduced lunches. This community was once a major coal mining community, and due to the decline need for coal, this community is quickly slipping behind the rest of the world. I feel it is important for our students to learn what technologies are out in the world today. These students will need to prepare for the future, so they will be able to compete in today's job market.
