Two Jarvis students work on NASA cancer research

A pair of Jarvis Christian College students are doing research that might change the way cancer is treated.  Ayla Diles, 22, of Longview and Cody Carrasquillo, 20, of San Antonio were selected as interns for the NASA Science and Technology Institute after Jarvis Christian College received a $251,298 grant to provide the opportunity. At the end of February, the two students and their biology professor, Shakhawat Bhuiyan, will travel to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida to deliver their research to astronauts before a 30-day mission to the International Space Station.
