The Affordable Care Act

The Affordable Care Act – the new health care law – gives hard working, middle-class families the security they deserve. Signed into law by President Obama in March 2010, the Affordable Care Act will remove obstacles to care that many Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders historically have faced and ensure that they will have better access to stable, affordable health insurance and high quality health care suited to their needs.

These resources provide information about the benefits of the Affordable Care Act, how you can select and enroll in insurance plans, Medicare and Medicaid, how the Affordable Care Act is being implemented, and research on the impact of the Affordable Care Act.
