First things first--let me just say how disappointed Secretary Duncan was that he couldn't make the trip today. But he asked me to convey his praise and pride for the hard work that brought you to this graduation day and earning your degree.

Accessibility Commission for Students with Disabilities to Meet, Hold Public Hearing at Ohio State

The U.S. Advisory Commission on Accessible Instructional Materials in Postsecondary Education for Students with Disabilities (AIM Commission) will meet Tuesday and Wednesday at Ohio State University in Columbus. A public hearing is set for Wednesday evening aimed at gathering experiences by students with disabilities on obtaining instructional materials in the postsecondary environment.

The U.S. Education Department will convene four community college regional summits in the next two months to identify promising practices for increasing completion at community colleges, Education Secretary Arne Duncan announced today.
