The U.S. Advisory Commission on Accessible Instructional Materials in Postsecondary Education for Students with Disabilities (AIM Commission) will meet Tuesday and Wednesday at Ohio State University in Columbus. A public hearing is set for Wednesday evening aimed at gathering experiences by students with disabilities on obtaining instructional materials in the postsecondary environment.
The U.S. Education Department will convene four community college regional summits in the next two months to identify promising practices for increasing completion at community colleges, Education Secretary Arne Duncan announced today.

Tomorrow, I have the pleasure of speaking at the National Hispanic Education Summit held by the Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents, or ALAS. I spoke at their summit last year, and I’m excited to be able to return on behalf of the Department to spend time with this passionate group of leaders!
