WASHINGTON, Nov. 15, 2010 –Today, Education Secretary Arne Duncan and Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack will visit the River Terrace Elementary School in Washington, D.C. to urge passage of the child nutrition bill before the conclusion of the 111th Congress.
Rivers of the World' Student Art Opens Tuesday, Inspired by D.C.'S Anacostia River, London's Thames River
To help recognize International Education Week, eighth- and ninth-grade student artworks inspired by Washington, D.C.'s Anacostia River will be on display beginning Tuesday in the lobby of the U.S. Department of Education alongside student artworks illustrating London’s Thames River. Six public schools from both D.C. and London are represented in the show.
