Fund for Innovation in Education (FIE): Innovation Education Programs. FY 94 grant of $4,463,000 to the Center for Civic Education (Calabasas, CA) for a national program to educate students about the history and principles of the U.S. Constitution and to foster civic competence and civil responsibility. Library Research and Demonstration Program. FY 93 grant of $2.48 million to Louisiana State University to demonstrate on-line and dial-in access to a multitype library bibliographic database on a statewide fiber optic network. LP, 219-1315

Library Services for Indian Tribes Program- Basic Grants (LSCA IV). 224 FY 94 grants totaling approximately $906,000 will aid 240 tribes to establish and improve public library services. LP, 219-1315

Public Library State Grant Awards. FY 94 state-administered grants totaling $92.6 million to 50 state library agencies to fund new public library service projects, public library construction and technology projects, and interlibrary cooperative projects. LP, 219- 1303
