Public Elementary and Secondary School Membership, Graduates, and Staff, by State: School Years 1983-84 through 1992-93 contains final counts on public elementary and secondary school staff, graduates, and membership, by grade. NCES 95-283a.

National Public Education Financial Survey Fiscal Years 1989 through 1992 represents fiscal statistical data on public elementary and secondary schools reported by the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and the outlying areas: revenues, current expenditures, property expenditures, and average daily attendance NCES 95-287a.

Public School Universe 1992-93 contains state information as of fall 1992 on approximately 86,000 public elementary and secondary schools in the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and five outlying areas: name of school, mailing address and phone number, grade span, codes for type of school and relative urbanicity, number of students by grade and racial-ethnic categories, total number of students eligible for free-lunch program, and number of full-time-equivalent teachers. Common Core of Data (CCD) School Years 1987-88 through 1992-93 CD-ROM contains the National Center for Education Statistics' primary database (CCD) on elementary and secondary public education in the United States. Free from OERI (fax request to 202-219-1728).
