Honors for Answers

AskERIC provides teachers and parents nationwide with answers to educational questions through the Internet and other online services, such as America Online. Questions by e-mail to askeric@ericir.syr.edu will be answered within 48 hours by experts in the field. Collections of research results and lesson plans that will help in class are also available through the AskERIC Gopher at ericir.syr.edu.

These services were recognized by the Smithsonian Institution as part of its Computerworld Smithsonian Awards for 1994. AskERIC was honored for being "the key that unlocks the Internet door, answering e-mail queries personally, and helping teachers access a wealth of current educational information."
