OERI BULLETIN - Spring 1996

Research Priotities Plan Home Page

When Congress reauthorized the Office of Educational Research and Improvement (OERI) in 1994, it included in the authorizing legislation a requirement that the Assistant Secretary for OERI work collaboratively with the National Educational Research Policy and Priorities Board to recommend priorities for the investment of resources over the next 15 years, including areas in which further research, development, and dissemination are needed. To learn more about OERI's evolving Research Priorities Plan, visit its home page at http://www.ed.gov/offices/OERI/RschPriority/. At this site, you will find updates on major domains that influence the learner's educational progress throughout life (e.g., Classroom and Instructional Characteristics) and links to the latest information from National Research Centers, Regional Laboratories, and Regional Technology Consortia.
