The Secretary meets with mayors

Secretary Arne Duncan today welcomed four mayors to the Department for a discussion about education stimulus funding. In attendance were David Cicilline (Providence), Kevin Johnson (Sacramento), and Cory Booker (Newark), as well as Doug Palmer (Mayor of Trenton and CEO of the U.S. Conference of Mayors). They talked about how to leverage federal dollars to advance critically needed education reforms.
