Include representatives of the key groups and settings that impact youth.
Select individuals who want the initiative to succeed.
Select a combination of "doers" and "influencers."
Re-evaluate membership regularly.
Periodically add members to generate new ideas and enthusiasm.
Be aware of politics and don't allow personal agendas to take over.
Make sure your team is large enough to get the work done, but small enough to reach consensus.
Create subcommittees when necessary.
