Description
In Fall 2002, the Office of Vocational and Adult Education awarded a $2.5 million, 2-year grant to support the Performance Measurement Initiative. Building on current state and local data systems, this project will design and pilot test new secondary and postsecondary assessment and accountability measures, covering both academic and career and technical education programs. Design and pilot testing will occur in partnership with five states selected through a competitive review process. This project will be undertaken through a collaboration among the Academy for Educational Development's National Institute for Work and Learning, MPR Associates, Inc., and the Johns Hopkins University's Center for Social Change.
Major Deliverables/Timelines
