When we focus on the need for data driven
education and the desires of teachers.. Technology
meets both.
There are many distractions in
the attempt to improve our education systems, the
latest guru, the latest book, a grant to try
something new. Over the long run, education comes
back to the same principles that have been proven
to be the most effective. Personal interaction
between student and teacher to help make unclear
concepts understandable. Some students need more
interaction, some less, technology makes this most
basic concept possible. Technology can free
educators from the drudgery of endless testing and
data reporting. Bureaucrats must support the
educational process to make it better.
