Helping teachers to engage in data-driven
decision-making
If data-based
decision-making is to impact the learning
environment, it is necessary to get data in the
hands of teachers. Such information can help
teachers study their craft and become more
effective, reflective practitioners. There are, in
fact, many commercially-available software
products that offer user-friendly data access to
teachers and other educators, and we have recently
released a technical report on such software,
including a review of available products
(http://www.csos.jhu.edu/crespar/techReports/Report67.pdf).
We also maintain a website that will provide
updates of the reviews and other information
resulting from our research
(http://www.csos.jhu.edu/systemics/datause.htm).
