electronic information might assist, if you
consider...
Accessing information
technology (computer based) will be easier for
students with a disability-- only -- if schools
look at "all" assistive technology.
For
example, reading. Students struggling to read can
now have assistive technology software read aloud
text, and have definitions of words read aloud.
Struggling readers cover broad populations of
disabilities; learning disability, low-vision or
blind. And, please don't forget struggling
readers with physical disability. This disability
population is overlooked. Student with a physical
disability are unable to hold books, and turn
pages. Assistive technology allows for turning
electronic
pages.
