Address and clarify the
distinctions between "educational or instructional
technology" and technology education and
technological literacy. The USOE adds to the
confusion by not clarifying here. Significant,
unprecedented actions are underway in state
capitols to bring technology education into
schools and the lives of millions of young people
with inclusion of technology education K-12.
Address the American Association for the
Advancement of Science''''s Project 2061 and
Benchmarks for Science Literacy as well the
Technology Panel Report; the Massachusetts
Department of Education''''s
Technology/Engineering Curriculum Framework,K-12;
the Ohio Department of Education''''s Technology
Academic Content Standards K-12; the National
Academy of Engineering''''s Technically
Speaking-Why All Americans Need To Know More About
Technology; The International Technology Education
Association''''s Standards for Technological
Literacy,2000;among, but not inclusive of all
significant
works.
