The U.S. Department of Education, Institutional Development and Undergraduate Education Service will conduct a pre-application technical assistance workshop on Thursday, February 22 through Friday, February 23, 2007 at the Sheraton Raleigh Hotel, in Raleigh, North Carolina. The room rate is $82/night. A limited number of rooms have been blocked for our group beginning Wednesday, February 21, 2007. You are to make your own hotel reservations under the room block entitled "DOED HBCU/HBGI Workshop." The purpose of this workshop is to facilitate dialog and exchange information and ideas pertaining to developing the Comprehensive Development Plan that will govern your Title IIIB grant activities for the next five years, beginning in fiscal year 2007. We hope this meeting will assist you in designing a cohesive set of activities that will render strong evidence of the program's effectiveness. If you have any particular concerns or issues that you wish us to address at this meeting, please include your suggestions in your e-mail to Carolyn no later than February 9, 2007.
