Tracey L. Sasser is the Deputy Assistant General Counsel for the Division of Business and Administrative Law (DBAL). She has served in this capacity since July 2000. Ms. Sasser joined the Office of General Counsel in 1991 and, prior to assuming her current position, served as a general attorney within the Division of Business and Administrative Law and the Division of Educational Equity and Research.

Ms. Sasser received her J.D. in 1987 from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, completing her third year's law school coursework at Georgetown University Law Center. She received her B.S. in Education from the University of Maryland, College Park and spent the following year teaching high school math and science in her hometown of Queens, New York. Ms. Sasser has three children and is actively involved as an athletic director and track coach for the Marlboro Boys and Girls Club in Upper Marlboro, MD.
