Grants Management - Design and oversee system for administering all types of Indian education grants, including formula and discretionary.
Evaluation - Prepare and track performance indicators and help carry out national evaluations of programs.
Interagency Coordination - Provide leadership for ED-wide policy coordination in Indian education, formulating policy and guidance, and identifying key issue areas.
Communication - Help develop and implement a system for maintaining open communications with the field through a strong relationship with the National Advisory Council on Indian Education (NACIE).
