Dr. William J. Goggin is the Advisory Committee's executive director. Prior to serving as the interim staff director in December 2004, Dr. Goggin joined the Advisory Committee as the senior staff economist in May 1988. He has nearly 30 years experience in higher education and student financial aid policy. He earned a bachelor's degree from Illinois State University and a doctoral degree in economics from Iowa State University.
Mr. Wendell D. Hall is an associate director for the Advisory Committee. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the higher education program at the University of Maryland, in the department of Education Policy and Leadership. Prior to joining the staff in March 2009, Mr. Hall worked at the University of Maryland in various departments, including the Office of the President, the Academy of Leadership, and Academic Achievement Programs. Before entering the field of higher education, he taught high school science for three years in Montgomery County, Maryland. Mr. Hall received his master's degree in Secondary Science Education from The George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Hampton University.
Ms. Tracy D. Jones is the senior administrative officer for the Advisory Committee. She joined the staff in January 1992, as the administrative assistant. Prior to joining the Advisory Committee, Ms. Jones was a program assistant for the National Science Foundation and a data transcriber for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. In June of 2008, she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Strayer University.
Mr. Brent G. Madoo is an assistant director for the Advisory Committee. He received a master's degree in public policy, with a concentration in social policy, from George Mason University in 2007 and completed his undergraduate work in political science at Dickinson College. Prior to joining the staff in March of 2009, Mr. Madoo worked as a policy and data analyst for the New York City Department of Education, and as a program coordinator at the Posse Foundation, a college access program in Washington D.C.
Ms. Megan A. McClean is the Director of Government Relations for the Advisory Committee. Prior to joining the staff in August 2008 as an assistant director, she worked at The Pennsylvania State University's Undergraduate Admissions Office, first as a graduate assistant and then as a staff member. Ms. McClean completed her graduate work at The Pennsylvania State University, receiving a master's degree in Higher Education, with a focus on policy. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Allegheny College.
Dr. Jeneva E. Stone joined the Advisory Committee in January 2006 as a Senior Writer. Prior to that, she worked as an editorial consultant to the Advisory Committee for over a decade, and taught at the high school and college levels. Dr. Stone earned a B. A. from Middlebury College in 1986, and a Ph. D. in English Renaissance literature from Columbia University in 1994. She completed work on her MFA in creative writing at Warren Wilson College's MFA Program for Writers in January 2007.
