Although the web offers an astounding amount of material, there is still plenty of information and expertise that isn't available online.
ED created EROD to help you identify organizations that can provide education information and technical assistance to you in a specific topic and your specific geographical location.
The EROD database includes more than 2,400 national, regional, and state-level organizations.
You can use a simple keyword search or a more powerful advanced search form to find precisely the kind of information or assistance you want (such as professional development in Kansas, bilingual education in Montana). Or you can go to a map of the US and click on your state to get a list of the major regional and state organizations that serve your state.
Teachers can use EROD to find organizations that provide information and assistance on many education-related topics, such as multicultural education, at risk persons, standards, or teaching methods.
Librarians can access EROD to help patrons find resource organizations on a whole host of education-related topics. You can search on "library agency" to find out which libraries have ERIC collections. Next year you'll be able to use EROD to find special education collections at hundreds of libraries across the country.
