Don't Confuse A Tool With A Solution

The capability to use networked systems in education provides the teacher with a powerful tool. Students that do not grasp a concept can remediate on their own without slowing the remainder of the class. Prepared students can learn to their capabilities without requiring excessive teacher involvement. This may allow teachers to manage the class sizes they are now confronted with.

However, networked systems do not represent a solution. Students will still need highly qualified teachers who can coach and inspire, as well as materials that challenge and expand the mind.
