The forces of technological change are converging on education, allowing schools to become intranet publishers. This presents a vast depository of space in which to present the papers, projects and works of students. Knowing that their works can have a space to be seen, students will take a leap into a new, electronic world, where their creations can take on a greater life. No longer will their works be seen by a select few, but their work has the potential of reaching hundreds of eyes, over many years. Just as a picture takes on a new meaning, when placed in a museum, student's work suddenly will grow in value. Learning to deal with this vast wealth of information will require a new skill, a new language, a "Language of the Web", that will become a regular part of education.
