CLIN Sites: Community Learning Information Networks

Many practitioners of Community Education have long argued that the community itself is the ideal classroom. After all, why create artificial environments called classrooms to teach students what they need to know in order to successfully exist in the real world? Why not use the real world itself? Now, through the use of new technologies, Community Learning Information Network ( CLIN ) sites can be created in homes, businesses, libraries, schools or anywhere a telephone line can be located. CLIN sites can truly create the technological global villages of which many of us dream.
