Internet is the educational tool uniting people who share three basic beliefs: All children can learn in appropriate environments, organizational change MUST be systemic and telecollaboration catlyzes constructivist problem solving.
Pioneers have built a fine infrastructure... and have dotted Cyberspace with incredible "treasure chests". Now with anticipation and excitement we work toward encouraging the grassroot groundswell of end-users hoping they will create the moment described by Thomas Kuhn as a "counterinstance"...the moment when communities that historically stand divided with old beliefs "suddenly" discard the "old" beliefs in favor of new understanding. When critical mass of over 60% of educators ...KNOW..that Internet and other educational technologies are an integral part of education. When technology is available in schools, libraries and communities, offering equity of access to All Americans... we then will help ALL students learn...better than we can right now.
