Instead I hear grand promises and wonderous predictions of future developments which it is assumed teachers will somehow find useful, all on their own, with little or no support or guidance. Before technology enters the classroom in any real way, certian fundamental issues must be addressed. They are: How do you coordinate and pay for the necessary development of hardware, software, training, infrastructure, implementation, testing and evaluating, restructuring, continual up grading, and necessary adjustment to future changes. These are issues that can not be solved by a teacher with 2 to 6 preps a day performing all the required administrative functions that come with the job of teaching.
