At present the usefulness of networking in schools is limited by lack of content and non user friendly equipment. But new technologies are being developed at a breathtaking pace.

The future with much wider bandwidth, with access to all schools, and with time devoted to developing useful content, the future of Networking Technology is indeed bright. Just think: interactive TV/Web sites, lectures available from the best educators in the world, up to date collections of the best reference materials in all areas of student interest, and all available at a mouse click. I see the most limiting aspect being content developed by educators. Businesses will develop the technology.
