On March 3, 1999, Secretary Richard W. Riley appeared before the Senate Subcommittee on Labor-HHS-ED Appropriations to testify on the FY 2000 Budget Request for the Department of Education.

On March 9, 1999, Secretary Richard W. Riley appeared before the House Subcommittee on Labor-HHS-ED Appropriations to testify on the FY 2000 Budget Request for the Department of Education.

During March 1999, Education Department officials, and officials of the Special Institutions that are funded in the ED Appropriations Act, will appear before the House Subcommittee on Labor-HHS-ED Appropriations to testify on the FY 2000 budget request. Included is testimony relating to:
