Collection Development and Technical
Services Division

The mission of the Collection Development and Technical Services Division of the National Library of Education is to identify, select, acquire, and provide bibliographic and subject access to education publications. The Division strives to build a collection of education information as comprehensively as possible, to serve as the official repository for the U.S. Department of Education's  publications, to produce cataloging records, and to preserve and promote access to historical items.
