Office of the DirectorThis office has responsibility for the overall management of the Library, including supervising three division directors; long-range strategic planning; budgeting; assessing customer service; marketing, coordinating the National Library of Education Advisory Task Force activities; and initiating special projects. The three divisions of NLE are:
NLE's public relations activities are carried out both within and outside the U.S. Department of Education. Marketing entails promoting NLE through the media, exhibitions, conferences, and presentations. NLE publications include a newsletter, a series on advances in education research, an annual report, fact sheets, monographs, brochures, posters, bookmarks, and videos. Special projects currently conducted in the Office of the Director include planning and charting the U.S. Education Information Network and participating in international activities. |
