Review Criteria for Annual Report

Oregon 21st Century Schools Program
and
Federal Educational Flexibility Demonstration Program

The review criteria are included as an aid in preparing the annual report.

Respond to each of the following topic statements by restating the requested information and confining page response to one letter-sized page per topic.

  1. GOALS AND ACTIVITIES: Describe the major activities that were carried out this year. Indicate activities which were added or deleted and the reason.

    Criteria: Project's goals and activities are based on the original proposal. Any changes in activities are fully explained.
  2. RESTRUCTURING: Describe the results of any significant change in restructuring school operations, including but not limited to: scheduling, staff activities including professional development, student conduct, school climate, and parental and community involvement. Comment on any change in relationships and responsibilities of teachers, administrators, and local citizens in that change process.

    Criteria: School operations have improved and positive changes in the relationships among school personnel, students, and citizens have taken place as a result of the project.
  3. RESULTS: Describe in detail the specific changes in student learning and other educational performances that have occurred as a result of the project. Assess current student performance and compare with the baseline data.

    Criteria: Measurable improvement in student learning and achievement has occurred. Other education performances show improvement. Data supports the results reported.
  4. PROGRESS: Referring to your student learning and other educational performance data, discuss ongoing research conducted to evaluate current programs and results.

    Criteria: Demonstrable progress has been made toward reaching the goals of the project. Ongoing research is conducted to understand and evaluate the project results. Changes needed to make further progress are identified in the report.
  5. DISSEMINATION: Describe the manner in which annual reports are submitted to the local community as well as other dissemination activities.

    Criteria: Dissemination process is described in detail, is multifaceted and involves a wide range of participants.
