Six States Granted ESEA Flexibility Extensions

Twenty-nine states have requested one-year extensions for flexibility from certain provisions of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), also known as No Child Left Behind. ED approved six extensions and anticipates approving additional requests over the next several weeks on a rolling basis.
